What are travel rewards?

Connexions Loyalty Travel Solutions LLC ("Connexions") is a service provider for ThankYou Rewards. Travel Rewards are rewards offered by ThankYou Rewards and fulfilled by Connexions ("Travel Rewards"). Travel Rewards include airline tickets, hotel accommodations, car rentals, cruises, vacation packages and destination activities/excursions. Travel Reward reservations must be made through the ThankYou Service Center or online at www.thankyou.com. All Travel Rewards are subject to availability and restrictions of the relevant travel supplier.

What are my travel options for redeeming ThankYou® Points?

The online booking tool on thankyou.com, lets you travel where you want, when you want, without loads of restrictions: there are no blackout dates, no minimum stay requirements, no limits on available seating and no Saturday night stay requirements. It's so flexible you can redeem for stays at over 90,000 hotels and resorts worldwide, rental cars, destination activities, cruises and exotic getaways, or for any seat on any airline available through Connexions. If there is availability on the travel product you want, you'll get it.

The point-cost of the Travel Reward corresponds with the purchase price. As the purchase price of the Travel Reward increases, so does the point cost. Don't have enough points for your travel rewards? With our Redeem plus Purchase option you can get the Travel Reward you want by using your Citi credit card to offset the remainder of your total trip cost. But remember, if you have a Citi® Corporate Travel & Entertainment Card, it should only be used for approved business expenses.

If the Travel Reward you want is not available, you can ask a Points Experts to help find it for you using the Points Concierge service.

How do I book my travel reward redemptions?

To book using the online travel booking tool click on the Travel link under the "Shop Browse rewards" tab, found at the top-left of thankyou.com. No fee applies when the reward is redeemed online. A fee may be charged when redeeming Travel Rewards by calling the ThankYou Service Center at 1-800-THANKYOU (1-800-842-6596) Monday to Friday, 8am to 1am ET and Saturday and Sunday, 9am to 9pm ET. Outside the U.S., please call collect at 859-283-8016. TDD/TTY for the hearing impaired, please call 1-877-693-0218. Please note travel cannot be booked through chat.

ThankYou Members who would like to redeem for a cruise, travel package or all-inclusive vacation should contact the ThankYou Service Center Monday to Friday, 9am to 9pm ET and Saturday, 9am to 5pm ET.

Additional destination and travel options not offered through the online booking tool may be available from Points Concierge, a unique service that allows you to request personalized rewards.

Why did the number of points required for my travel reward change within minutes while I was processing my redemption?

Reservations are quoted through a real-time system. Pricing and availability cannot be guaranteed until the purchase is completed. Since many other agencies and airlines are pulling from the same inventory, changes to availability and price can be frequent.

Are there blackout dates for travel rewards?

No, there are no blackout dates. This means you have the freedom to travel anytime of the year -- even during the holidays, as long as there is availability through Connexions.

How does ThankYou® Rewards determine what travel rewards to offer?

ThankYou Rewards does not maintain an inventory of travel rewards. Travel rewards are subject to availability through our travel service provider, Connexions.

Are there any restrictions related to travel rewards?

For ThankYou® travel rewards the following guidelines apply:
1. No blackout dates
2. Taxes, fees and surcharges are included in the number of ThankYou Points required and are subject to change without notice.
3. Flights may be non-stop, direct, or involve a change of planes. They may also be one-way flights.
4. Flights do not have to be exact roundtrips. Flights into and out of different airports are permitted.
5. Airline, hotel, car rental, vacation cruise and activity/excursion company participation may vary from market to market.
6. Travel must be completed by the expiration date indicated on the travel document.
7. ThankYou Service Center does not hold travel reward reservations.
8. A service fee may be charged for the redemption of travel rewards when the reward is redeemed by calling the ThankYou Service Center. No service fee applies when the reward is redeemed on-line.
9. All reservations must be made outside of 24 hours prior to departure. Reservations cannot be accepted within 24 hours of departure.

All ThankYou Members may redeem ThankYou Points for travel rewards either online or by phone via the ThankYou Service Center.

Are taxes and surcharges included in the price for travel rewards?

Taxes, tax recovery charges, fees and/or surcharges are included for travel rewards. Resort fees, luggage fees and other incidental fees are not included. A service fee may be charged when redeeming travel rewards by calling the ThankYou® Service Center. No service fee applies when the reward is redeemed on-line.

May I add a traveler to my itinerary?

Once an itinerary is confirmed and booked, additional travelers will require separate itineraries. Reservations not made on the same itinerary are subject to availability and ThankYou® Point price levels at time of booking.

How do I use my ThankYou® Points to book a cruise, travel package or all-inclusive vacation?

To redeem points for a cruise, travel package or all-inclusive vacation offered by our travel rewards provider, Connexions, please call the ThankYou Service Center at 1-800-THANKYOU (1-800-842-6596). Travel Center Specialists are available Monday to Friday, 9am to 9pm ET and Saturday and Sunday, 9am to 5pm ET. Outside the U.S., please call collect at 859-283-8016. What if the trip I want is not available through travel rewards?

Additional destination and travel options may be available from Points Concierge, a service that allows you to request personalized rewards.

Can I use my points to purchase a travel reward for someone else?

Yes, you can use your ThankYou® Point to purchase a travel reward for someone other than yourself.

Can I book a travel reward for an unaccompanied minor?

Travel Rewards may not be booked online for minors traveling unaccompanied by an adult. Please contact the ThankYou Service Center at 1-800-THANKYOU (1-800-842-6596) for assistance with unaccompanied passengers under 18 years old.

All airline-imposed unaccompanied minor fees apply and will be at your expense.

Can I book a same day reservation?

All travel bookings must be made at least 24 hours prior to departure.

What if I don't have enough Points for the trip I want?

You have the option of paying for part of your trip with points and the remaining balance with your credit card. You can also purchase ThankYou® Points in increments of 1,000 points for $25, charged to any eligible credit or debit card, regardless of whether it is a Citi® card or not.

Can I combine my points with frequent flyer miles for air travel?

No.

Will I receive a ticket in the mail for my travel reward redemption?

Airlines tickets will be issued as e-tickets unless paper tickets are required by the airline. For bookings made online at www.thankyou.com, electronic confirmation and documentation will be sent to the email address displayed on the Billing and Delivery page. If paper tickets are required they will be shipped via a traceable carrier. If you require a paper ticket there will be an additional charge of $15.00 for domestic travel and $50.00 for international travel to cover printing and express delivery of the paper ticket. Paper ticket delivery addresses must be street addresses. No P.O. boxes will be accepted. For other travel rewards such as vacation and cruise packages, travel documents will be sent to the ThankYou® Member's address provided at time of booking.

Can I use my points to buy a ticket for an airline that isn't listed on the ThankYou Rewards online booking tool?

Yes. Although certain airlines, such as Southwest Airlines, are not listed in the ThankYou Rewards online tool, Members can still redeem their points for tickets on all airlines, including Southwest, by calling the ThankYou Travel Center at 1-800-ThankYou.
